The White Horse has recently seen the return of owners, John & Helen Thorburn who have taken up the reigns of running the pub themselves. It is their firm wish to return the White Horse to it's original 'roots', as a traditional Village/Country pub serving good ales and a menu of traditional dishes to suit all palates.

The pub has always played an integral part in the life of the village and John & Helen look forward to revitalising the pub into a friendly local.

The small intimate bar will be returned to customers who wish to pop in for a pint and a chat.

The delightful fully enclosed beer garden offers a splendid 'sun-trap' which proves very popular during the summer months for families with children.

The White Horse is also the ideal venue for private parties, club dinners and business gatherings.
The open studded partitions between the two dining areas can be transformed to offer the perfect venue for parties of all sizes.

The garden can accommodate a marquee to give additional covered space for larger functions.
We can seat up to 60 persons or for a buffet style functions up to100+.

We are always pleased to welcome Walkers and Twitchers who frequent this pretty part of the Essex countryside. We offer a selection of delicious snacks served both lunchtimes and evenings. The White Horse is ideally located at the top end of the village only a stone's throw away from the church.

On Monday & Tuesday evenings we are offering a meal and a drink for less than a Tenner.

A meal from the special menu for the week plus;             
A pint of Bitter, Cider, Lager or a Mini bottle of Wine for only £9.00

Children have their own menu with a soft drink, for only £3.50
